Independent research confirms MagFan as the most energy-efficient fan for poultry production.

In a comprehensive report published by AgriFutures Australia, the DACS MagFan was ranked as the most efficient variable-speed exhaust fan for meat chicken sheds. The report evaluated performance across multiple fan brands and models, comparing airflow, power consumption and efficiency under real-world conditions.

Leading performance – lowest power use

MagFan outperformed all other fans in key efficiency metrics. With airflow ranging from 21,291 to 57,807 m³/h and an impressive efficiency span of 45.7–73.4 m³/h/W, the DACS MagFan 1.2 kW unit demonstrated a superior balance between airflow and energy use.

56-day trial confirms long-term savings

A detailed 56-day comparison showed that sheds using MagFan had the lowest cumulative power consumption, outperforming other major fan brands. MagFan delivered up to 50% savings in power use compared to traditional single-speed fans – even when maintaining the same airflow output.

Proven across climates

Tests conducted in both Victoria and South-Eastern Queensland confirmed MagFan’s consistent advantage across different climatic zones. The results show that MagFan performs efficiently even under varying humidity and temperature conditions.
