Marc Van Thournout owns a broiler breeder farm and hatchery near Pittem, Belgium, supplying day-old chicks to local broiler farmers. Today, all his houses are equipped with DACS ventilation.
A better system from day one
When planning an expansion in 2010, Marc searched for improved production methods to increase animal welfare and profitability. After discovering DACS, he found its functionality and quality superior to any system he had seen. He installed DACS in his new broiler breeder house, where it has run flawlessly since the first birds were placed in December 2010.
The birds pay back
Compared to his previous side wall inlet systems, Marc sees clear improvements: hardly any floor eggs, thriving birds year-round, and consistently dry litter. The constant flow of temperate air creates an optimal in-house climate—without using gas for heating.
“The results speak for themselves,” Marc says. “The birds pay back on the better climate, and the system’s safe and easy operation allows me to focus fully on my birds and hatchery.”
