Testing MagFan in real life
“I first saw the MagFan at IPPE in Atlanta and decided to test it in one of my broiler houses. I wanted to see if the documented savings would materialize in real life. I immediately experienced a significant reduction in electrical consumption compared to my other houses, but what surprised me most was the overall impact on profitability,” Edgar explains.
Uniform airflow makes the difference
“The gentle, constant and uniform airflow from the speed-controlled MagFans is very different from traditional stage control. We see consistently better litter quality and stronger, more uniform birds. The installation changed my understanding of how much impact ventilation has on profitability.”
A 90% reduction in my fan electricity bill
“In 2022, I installed Solectrifiers, allowing my MagFans to run directly on electricity from my photovoltaic panels. The system prioritizes solar power and supplements with grid power only when needed. My electrical bill for the fans has now been reduced by 90% compared to before installing MagFans. At the same time, the system has become more reliable with far fewer blackouts,” Edgar concludes.
