From unstable climate to control
Two years ago, Mr. Piljan installed a DACS ventilation system in one of his four existing houses to evaluate the solution before building four new houses.

“During late autumn, winter and early spring, it was very challenging to maintain a good climate and dry litter in our houses with side wall inlets. The heating demand was simply too high, which reduced our profitability,” Mr. Piljan explains.

Stable climate at lower heat demand
“With the DACS system, I quickly experienced that the climate became easier to control and at a much lower heat consumption. The system ensures a stable in-house climate and dry litter throughout the house – regardless of outside conditions.”

Heating off at day 13
“A stable climate and dry litter mean everything to bird performance. What impresses me most is that I can turn off the heating at day 13 – even during the cold period – and still maintain set point on temperature and humidity throughout the production,” Mr. Piljan says.

He now operates five houses with DACS ventilation and expects the remaining houses to follow.
